Bruneck’s hiking trails

A close-knit network of diverse hiking trails runs through the stunning natural landscape around our Hotel Goldene Rose, with tours of varying degrees of difficulty and for all fitness levels. Discover the area around Bruneck by hiking, enjoying a long walk to one of the many huts, or embarking on a tour to a high mountain peak – with us, it’s all possible.

Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, South Tyrol’s number 1 skiing mountain, transforms into a hiking paradise during the warm months of the year. Take one of the many trails up to the plateau or arrive in comfort using the lift, and then enjoy the unobstructed panoramic view of the peaks of the main Alpine ridge and the Dolomites. Hiking in Bruneck in South Tyrol is wonderfully varied.

Skiing

Ready for extraordinary skiing fun? In winter, Bruneck’s local mountain, Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, transforms into South Tyrol’s number 1 ski destination – and for good reason!

With 119 kilometres of perfectly prepared pistes, 32 ultra-modern lifts, and an awe-inspiring 360° panoramic view, you simply couldn’t ask for anything more. And not only that: Plan de Corones/Kronplatz is part of Dolomiti Superski, meaning with just one ticket, an incredible 1,200 kilometres of interconnected pistes await you across 12 ski resorts and three regions.

Cool snow parks, rustic huts, trendy restaurants, professional ski schools, well-equipped ski rental shops, and many other highlights are, of course, part of the package.

Biking

With a total length of 105 kilometres, the Val Pusteria/Pustertal cycle route leads from Mühlbach at the entrance to Val Pusteria/Pustertal to Lienz in Austria – right past our hotel in Bruneck. The less than 500 metres’ difference in elevation and the idyllic natural backdrop make it a real favourite with families and leisure bikers. Downhill pros and freeriders also have plenty to look forward to: Plan de Corones/Kronplatz offers no fewer than six trails – graded from easy to difficult.

Cross-country skiing

The circular cross-country ski trail in Reischach sport park is just a few minutes away from Bruneck town centre. Its 5.5-kilometre trail – with three different versions to try – runs through the sun-kissed meadows and fields at the foot of Plan de Corones/Kronplatz.

And if you want even more, why not follow in the footsteps of world champions and visit the Südtirol Arena biathlon centre in Valle Anterselva/Antholzertal, the Dolomites route in Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, or the 43-kilometre valley trail in picturesque Gsies?

Golf

Breathe deep, get into your swing, stay in shape. Golf Club Pustertal awaits you amidst fragrant forests, flower-filled meadows, and magnificent mountain peaks. With 9 varied holes, a putting green, training bunker, driving range, and clubhouse, it’s sure to be a firm favourite with beginners and pros alike. Spontaneous visitors can even rent their equipment for the day.

Tobogganing

Whether on foot or by lift, spirits are always high heading up the mountain through wintery nature, across snow-covered meadows, and through fragrant pine forests. Once you arrive, you can look forward to rustic huts and traditional refreshments with typical South Tyrolean dishes and great company. All that’s left to do is rent a toboggan and then it’s time for fun on two runners: Ready, steady, glide!
